Wow – what a tour guide you would make!! Fabulous! I’m taking this with me for the next trip.
Do you get to go there often to visit your son, Monica? We managed to do a lot in a week, and I was very glad that I got to the Met this time which was a highlight for me – last time there, I only had two days and walked from Times Square to the gallery on my last day only to find it closed (Mondays).
I’d say you managed to do a lot in a week!! Our son has been there about a year, so we’re going more and more. But I haven’t seen most of the things in your photos, so thank you!
You’re welcome, Monica. For 6 girls traveling together, we had to be pretty organized 🙂
If you haven’t been to the Met yet, I’m sure you will think it marvellous. I went to the Guggenheim as well but, although I loved the building, the art therein definitely isn’t my thing
6 girls together in NYC – how fun is that! That’s a lot more than girls’ night out – all the way from Australia!
Hallo 😀
It was – a week-long celebration for one of the girl’s milestone birthday. We had an absolute ball. Thinking of doing the same next year for my next milestone birthday 😉 but in Tokyo
These are gorgeous shots, bluebee. Especially love the first of the Empire State Buildings amid all the clouds and blue sky. Also love the 18th floor at the Standard. Elegant!
Glad that you had a fun time.
Thanks, Nancy – a little bit of frivolity goes a long way 🙂
Wow, excellent photos – you are very good 🙂 I am officially jealous of your trip to NY – haha – hope you enjoyed yourself bluebee. How long is the flight over there?
Ha, ha – thanks, Gabe – can’t help but look up there – so many amazing buildings. The trip over there is pretty arduous at around 24 hours door-to-door – about 14 hours flight to LA or San Fran and then another 5 to New York – not for the impatient 🙂
Thanks for the trip, BB. A vicarious tourist from the UK.
Never got to USA, except one day, upstate NY on business!
Great pics of a great city.
John
Thanks, John – glad you enjoyed the armchair journey 🙂
I was there in July. So much to see and do…..
There is, Nursemyra – it’s a crazy, fascinating city 🙂
I’m going to get there one day; I mean it!
Good to see you back.
Sometimes, you just have to put everything aside and follow your dreams – just do it, Tilly Bud! 😀
Echoing Tilly Bud, good to have you back, bb, and bringing such wonderful photo’s.
Love the Downtown View, and I did ‘look up’ the Empire State Building was Awesome … and I cricked my neck. 😀 … xPenx
Ha, ha – yes, Pen – a crick in the neck is what you get from looking up at all those wonderful buildings. Thanks! 😀
Welcome back Bluebee. Looks like you have a great vacation… 🙂
Thanks, aRVee – it was fantastic 🙂
by the looks of it, it indeed was… 🙂
It’s a fascinating city, aRVee 🙂
I’m jealous of your trip to NY too. How fabulous it must have been. So much to see. I wouldn’t have known where to go or what to look at first. Every shot is amazing. What a city!!
And the bridges, Selma! You will love photographing them 🙂 Thanks
This is my first visit to your Space but I already like it a lot, for instance this posting that you have added here has some wonderful photographs my friend, and all very nicely added too 🙂 I will be calling back again and taking the full tour, in the meantime I hope that you are enjoying an excellent start to your weekend 🙂
Androgoth
Good of you to pop in, Androgoth 🙂 – hope you’ll find more here to enjoy in the future
What a gorgeous and varied selection of photo’s, Bb. I almost feel as if I’ve been there… 😀
Glad you enjoyed coming along for the ride, Adee 😀 Thanks
