not moneyed lives but
the simple life of a bird
that I most envy
And for something completely different…
head over to Gabrielle Bryden’s Citrus Fiesta for a whole week’s worth of citrusy fizz and fun 😀

Perfect!
I thought you might enjoy this one, Julie 🙂
Wonderful and reminds me of how I felt as a little girl when I read ‘Jonathon Livingston Seagull’ – I so wanted to be a seagull, flying ever higher. Thanks for the shout out too 🙂
Thanks, Gabe – I loved that book too – it would be wonderful to be able to fly naturally
Why did the gulls cross the road ? To get to the other fries.
hahaha – that’s a real ‘dad’ joke, Elmediat 😀
Great shots, I have a few bird pics I might have to post soon!
Thanks – would love to see them.
perfectly simple
Thanks, Maggie 🙂
I LOVE that top photo! 😀
They’re comical birds, aren’t they, Nancy 🙂 Thanks
Carrying no baggage, and just a pair of wings to fly
Simplicity itself!
John
Wouldn’t that be wonderful, John 🙂 Thanks
Sea birds always seem to have the best of it…enjoyed the photos and lines.
You’re right, Charles – the beach, the sea, the seafood… 🙂 Thanks
Oh yeah. Life of those lovely birds is truly simple.
Fly, eat, sleep 🙂
Good gulls! and a simply lovely place 🙂
Thanks, Gilly – the first shot is taken on a beach in the Myall Lakes area of NSW in Australia and the other at Manly Beach in Sydney
love your take on the theme
Thanks, Jo 🙂
The sentries on watch…:) lovely pics..
On watch for food to steal 🙂 Thanks for stopping by Cobbies
Excellent quotes for birds.. Lovely
Thanks, Rosesandcoffee 🙂 and for stopping by
I’d love to be able to fly….but other aspect of a bird’s life don’t seem so enviable to me. Being chased by cats or having to eat worms for supper….. 😦
I thought you liked exotic insect food, Nursemyra 🙂
I like the simplicity of this post.
I read your poem over on Gabrielle’s blog and enjoyed it.
Thanks, Tilly, and for reading over at Gabrielle’s 😀
love these photos, and the poem! Their shadows give wonderful shapes.
Thanks, Benedicte, and welcome to my blog 😀
Beautiful all, !
I enjoyed Blue Bee
Peace, x
Laz

Thanks, Northern Narratives – life is a beach 🙂

Thanks, Elizabeth – we do complicate our lives, don’t we? 🙂
yes, so satisfying, the simple life!
Yes, your blog posts speak of a simple but rich life, Dadirri – wonderful 🙂
Very good. I’d love to be able to fly. Not too keen on the feathers though.
Thanks, Edward – being able to fly would be wonderful
Oh, these guys are wonderful, BB! Just the message I needed to hear today 🙂 Thanks.
Thanks, Kate 🙂
Perfect!
Thanks, Fergiemoto
Gorgeous photo’s, Bb! Both of them are great!
I am hoping to get a camera shortly and would like (perhaps… after some practice…) to take part in these challenges. Where do I find them? Thanks so much.
That would be great, Adee 😀

Thank you so much, Bb. 🙂
Very amazing Photo Blubee I love it 🙂
Thanks, Jake 🙂
I envy the simple life of birds too. How they live in the moment. How they sit in the trees or on the shore and feel the sun on their wings. And how they can fly. Absolutely beautiful, Bluebee!
Thanks, Selma – they do have different kinds of freedom
fizz on the beach…great idea. Love your photos. the simple life of the bird may not be what it seems. great post anyway!
That’s true, Eva – my view of them here is rather simplistic 🙂 they face different kinds of challenges too
I love birds and never get enough of watching them and wondering.
They are fascinating, Renee, and so diverse in their beauty 🙂
These photos are stunning BB, such clarity.
Thanks, Graham. I wonder what kind of conversation the two in the bottom photo were having? 🙂
Simply portray; perfect for the message.
Thanks, Souldipper, and for popping in to my blog 😀
Just gorgeous, Bluebee. Whenever I get to the ocean, it’s for such a short time – I always feel like my mind is on the clock. So much better just to be there – flying, feeding, smelling, dipping, being. Becoming part of it. Not for an inlander, I fear.
Thanks, Monica. Toes in the sand, the warmth of the sun and the tingle of salt water on the skin – it is lovely!
But then you have all those wonderful mountains and wilderness to explore – an eagle instead if a gull, perhaps? 🙂
You’re right – a different kind of beauty.
Ditto!!!
Sore feet wouldn’t be an issue if we could fly 🙂
LOL!!
Ain’t that the Truth!!
Ah…to be a Bird…
Love the gull pics. Beautiful images and colors.
Thanks – they are fun photographic subjects
Reminds me of my wonderful days on the beach, when the gull are sometimes my main company.
Yes, they inspire some of your wonderful poetry 🙂
Thank you, Bluebee. 🙂
