Feeding Time on the Golf Course

“I think I spy a worm…

“Got it!”

“Pssst, Horace, I think we’re being watched.”

“Oh for goodness sake, Edith, stop imagining things and eat your dinner…”

“Mmm…I think I spy a plumper morsel over there…”

“nom, nom”

  1. Wow, very unusual to see a fox out in the open – was it really early in the day? Love your Kookaburra – they can look so lovely and fluffy, but their beaks are razor sharp. Thanks for the linky bb 🙂 woof!

    • I took the photo of the ‘roos and fox late afternoon on Saturday, and the kooka, Sunday morning. That fox was really brazen and not in the least bit concerned about us getting so close. 🙂

    • There is, Selma – mobs of kangaroos everywhere, ducks, kookas. And flocks of beautiful Eastern Rosellas as well, but I didn’t get a chance to capture them. First time we’ve seen a fox there. Thanks 🙂

  2. Amazing, BB. I have seen wallabies and Kangaroos in Aus years back, and I have heard kookaburras. But I was unaware of the fox. How did they get to Aus?
Perhaps they are in every country in the world.!
Very good pics BB. I love them.
    Thank you
    John

    • Thanks, John. Like the rabbit, the European fox is actually considered an invasive species here. It was introduced for hunting purposes (what folly!) and is a considerable threat to the native wildlife. There are programs to control their numbers (euphemism for fox-baiting).

    • Haha, thanks, Elmediat – no matter where in the world, golf courses are dangerous places – snakes, lightning, crocs, hippos, magpies in breeding season…not to mention wayward balls.
Now I’m wondering how Mississauga is pronounced…

  3. Love this! You do what I do, only you’ve posted it here. I imagine what the animals or birds might be saying if you could translate their thoughts into language. I’m sure it is just like you and I imagine it to be. LOL 🙂
