“I think I spy a worm…
“Got it!”
“Pssst, Horace, I think we’re being watched.”
“Oh for goodness sake, Edith, stop imagining things and eat your dinner…”
“Mmm…I think I spy a plumper morsel over there…”
“nom, nom”

oooh, that is a bold fox! lovely post 🙂
He wasn’t in the least bit perturbed by our presence, Christine. Thanks 🙂
Very funny and delightful although I am not sure about that fox!
Haha, yes, he’s not a bird’s best friend, that’s for sure 😉 Thanks, Julie.
What fun, I love them all!
Haha, thanks, Gilly 😀
Horace and Edith gave me such a good laugh. Thanks for sharing the lovely pics with a bit of fun. Love it!
You’re welcome, Jacquie 😀
I still think your front yard is quite an amazing place. 🙂
Lots of weird and wonderful critters, Charles 🙂
Wow, very unusual to see a fox out in the open – was it really early in the day? Love your Kookaburra – they can look so lovely and fluffy, but their beaks are razor sharp. Thanks for the linky bb 🙂 woof!
I took the photo of the ‘roos and fox late afternoon on Saturday, and the kooka, Sunday morning. That fox was really brazen and not in the least bit concerned about us getting so close. 🙂
Ha! love your local friends 😉
Makes me smile, Blue Bee
Peace,
Laz
There really is a mob of kangaroos on this particular course, Laz 🙂
such great captures…I do miss those kookaburras
Thanks, Jo – I love the kookas too 🙂
Hard not too hey ??????????
They are squeezable 🙂 And their eyesight amazes me – that particular bird repeatedly flew down from his tree perch and nabbed worms metres away.
Stop it you are making me homesick
Ok, xxx 😉
WOW. There’s a lot of wildlife on that golf course. How fantastic. The kookaburra is divine!
There is, Selma – mobs of kangaroos everywhere, ducks, kookas. And flocks of beautiful Eastern Rosellas as well, but I didn’t get a chance to capture them. First time we’ve seen a fox there. Thanks 🙂
The two photos of the kookaburra are just stunning BB. Such powerful, majestic birds!
Thanks, Graham. They have such an intelligent look in their eye, don’t they?
Amazing, BB. I have seen wallabies and Kangaroos in Aus years back, and I have heard kookaburras. But I was unaware of the fox. How did they get to Aus?
Perhaps they are in every country in the world.!
Very good pics BB. I love them.
Thank you
John
Thanks, John. Like the rabbit, the European fox is actually considered an invasive species here. It was introduced for hunting purposes (what folly!) and is a considerable threat to the native wildlife. There are programs to control their numbers (euphemism for fox-baiting).
Wonderful shots, BB! So . . . are your feet cooperating on the course these days?
My feet are so much better after the RFD treatment, thanks, Nancy. I hardly think about them on the golf course now – it’s just marvellous and I’m so grateful to have avoided the surgery. Thanks 😀
Yay! That’s great news.
😀 😀
Great sequence. Last week a nearby golf course had to remove a Massasauga Rattlesnake from near the first tee. They are a threatened species – so were some of the golfers. 😀 http://www.sootoday.com/content/news/details.asp?c=44995
Haha, thanks, Elmediat – no matter where in the world, golf courses are dangerous places – snakes, lightning, crocs, hippos, magpies in breeding season…not to mention wayward balls.
Now I’m wondering how Mississauga is pronounced…
Fantastic post! What a lot of wildlife feels happy to come out there!
Thanks, Kate – one of the most enjoyable things about playing golf here (the game is secondary :))
WoW! Quite the collection wildlife you captured here… I’m impressed. 😉
Such an amazing array of critters on golf courses here, Elizabeth
Love this! You do what I do, only you’ve posted it here. I imagine what the animals or birds might be saying if you could translate their thoughts into language. I’m sure it is just like you and I imagine it to be. LOL 🙂
Haha – thanks, Renee
Such a fantastic golf course… want to practice golf there… 🙂
Just make sure you don’t get too close to the big grey ‘roos, Bams – they can be pretty grumpy 🙂
Love your, “Hey Horace” captioned pic 🙂
Haha – ‘roos are such comical creatures. Thanks, Anne 🙂
Must be hard to get a tee time, Bluebee.
It does get busy – we prefer to go out early if we can, Monica.
