A peek inside a guest house we escaped to for a bit of R&R with friends a couple of weekends ago.

Our men are all wizzes in the kitchen, so us girls left them to it, and relaxed next to a roaring fire in the marvellous library.

The chefs didn’t disappoint.

looks heavenly BB, good to hear you relaxed and enjoyed the house, company and food!
Thanks, Christine – feeling a bit frazzled at the moment, so it’s good to get away, especially with good friends. π
Wow…that looks like a wonderful place to spend some time to relax.
It is, Charles. The owner and his late partner worked for Qantas, so collected wonderful artifacts and works of arts from around the world, many of which have found their way into the house. The library is a place to spend a very cold winter π
How lovely and scrumptious looking! Love the treatment you gave to your photos.
Thanks, Madelaine – they are a bit blurred π
Looks wonderful, all of it!
It was a very welcome break, Tilly π
That looks GREAT ~ peaceful, calm, soothing, fun, and delicious. The sides, anyway. π
Ha – yes, Nancy π
Amazing! I thought all men were natural WUZZES in a kitchen!
Nice guest house, if the location was also pleasant.
Did the poor guys get any of the R & R?
Oh, Col, you are such a traditionalist! They LOVE cooking, and would prefer it if we DIDN’T, haha.
Looks like a great place and great food…a GREAT time…
Thanks, Sued – R&R is in shot supply these days, so was most welcome π
That’s my kind of rest and recreation! Lovely photos bb π
Would love it if you and Shirl could join us sometime, Gabe – we could have the Great Australian Political Debate (we all love arguing…no, debating π no guns allowed, haha )
hahaha it would have to be no politics I’m afraid (my hubby has some strange ideas – hahaha) but plenty of wine and food sounds good
Wow: what a warm, welcoming view from the outside! The colours just glow! And the food looks great too….
Such a lovely place to relax, Kate.
