  1. Confused re your dedication, but figure she must love space, too. Unless she’s one of those competitors …?
Whatever. It’s marvellous and exciting !

    • One giant step for man, but not for woman? 🙂 I don’t like heights, Pen, but would jump at the chance to go out there and look back at the earth from the silence.

  2. Listen to the mustn’ts child. Listen to the don’ts.
Listen to the shouldn’t haves, the impossibles, the won’ts.
Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me.
Anything can happen child. Anything can be.

    ~ Shel Silverstein

Having just watched GRAVITY, I have no desire to head into Space.

    • You can’t believe everything you see in the movies, Nancy! 😉

Love the Shel poem. My nieces take part in the Santa Shoebox project in South Africa – one of them likes to to put a poem in her giftbox, and this would be perfect, so thanks.

  3. That’s pretty awesome, BB. I hope Gabrielle gets to go, if she wants to. Like Pen, I do prefer my feet on the ground. There are lots of places I’d like to go – Australia for example. I just can’t sit in a tight space long enough to get there. I do like looking up and contemplating the unimaginable beauty that surrounds and includes us.

  4. blogbeam – bwhahahahaha 😀 Thanks bb – I’d forgotten about my astronaut in a nappy poem – I don’t think I’m fit enough for a trip to space 😉 but yes I would jump at the chance. I definitely wouldn’t want to go on a one way trip to Mars – those people must be insane – you’d never breathe fresh air again or see a tree or a dog or cat – couldn’t stand it!
