This rather prettier Autumn mess is evidence
of another avian feaster
doing fantastic gymnastics in the Camellia bushes
to get some yummy nectar
nom, nom
Delicious!

Very large and colorful bees you have there, in Australia….(beautiful photos!)
Hehe – yes, and they squawk instead of buzz. 🙂
So colorful, BB! I would have watched fascinated for hours!
They are very sweet to watch, Sue, as they chatter, squeak and squawk away to one another (they are usually in pairs) as they feed.
Some bird!
Alarmingly colourful 🙂
and what do you call this delicious creature, BB?
It’s a Rainbow Lorikeet, Monica. 😀
such a perfect name
Wow! That pretty bird knocked my socks off. (and yes it is but I’m still wearing socks. BLAH!)
It’s rather surreal in all its colours. Hope you have a stash of extra socks. 🙂
What a gorgeous grazer!
They are a lovely sight, Nancy. 🙂
Ah…the photo is Delicious!
Thanks, Charles. 🙂
Oh, bb !!!! – how DIVINE !! And I never even knew that the rainbows ate camellias (or their nectar, anyway) !
These are so gorgeous, I wish I could have the lot to mount in one of those segmented frames … if only there were any room left on my walls.
They go mad for them, M-R. Gives us something to look at in the garden in Autumn. 🙂
I’m honestly flaming gastric, as our deliberately Mrs Malapropish family maid used to say …! That is one of the most beautiful photos I’ve seen in a very long time !
I’M. SO. JEALOUS. OF. YOUR. BIRDS!!!!!
You’ll have to come and visit, Joanne. 🙂
The colours are so gorgeous in these!
I never fail to be astounded by the colours of these birds, MOSY.
love the way they turn upside down – very flexible and gorgeous to boot!
Avian acrobats. 😀
very adventurous mixes of colours 🙂
Yes, Nature has applied a flamboyant flair to Australian parrots, Benedicte. 😀
I did visit about 10 years ago and was enthralled with the flying rainbows 🙂 Would love dearly to make a return trip.
Thanks for sharing these. My mom and I had fun figuring out which was what among the vibrant colors on Mother’s Day!
Lovely!
Hello Jamie 🙂
