“In a Wonderland they lie,
Dreaming as the days go by,
Dreaming as the summers die:
Ever drifting down the stream –
Lingering in the golden dream –
Life, what is it but a dream?”
A Boat Beneath a Sunny Sky – Lewis Carroll

Love this poem by Lewis Caroll, BB. Summer is just around the corner here in Melbourne – we’ve been getting some warm days and all I want to do is sit back and relax, and enjoy the warmth. I won’t lie: summer makes me happy…when it’s not overly hot. Hope you’re doing well π
Hi Mabel, I was in MLB this week and Summer’s definitely well and truly upon you. There was such a great vibe in the city in the evening. π
Dreamy!
Heavenly. π
Oh…that does look so peaceful..Dream on!
A distant memory at the moment, Charles. π
row, row, row, gently down the stream
merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily….
I think those who choose to live the simple life know the secret to a happy life. I watch the interactions between famous chefs, such as Rick Stein and Jamie Oliver, and the fishermen working the coast of England and note that the fishermen are all thoroughly content with their lives.
that photo sure looks like something out of Alice and Wonderland (and who is reading the book? ;))
ππ
Lovely shot and poem, BB! It reminds me of those times in my childhood when I “lived” in books.
“Lived in books” – yes! π
So peaceful.
It’s important to seek out peace in this crazy old world. π
Beautifully dreamy and peaceful xxx
We all need more moments like these. π
