Quite an interesting creature.
It is so, Charles – very strange
Very unique . . . it reminds me of the Phoenix. And what colorful plumage. That must have been a sight to see soaring over the dinosaurs heads.
Yes – a bird with a big toothy grin ready to pounce!

a thrilling reconstruction … i love to see colour in dinosaur images … must get to that museum!
You will love it, Christine
Wow, that creature surely is unique. What lovely bright colours – it looks like it is wearing a knitted shawl. Brilliant, BB!
You’re right, Adee – it is like a knitted shawl.
I love that they used such vivid colours for its feathers, particularly as there are no specimens of feathers to go by.
This is gorgeous. Looks like an exotic dancer.
It does – they’ve done a great job of re-imagining it
Congratulations, BB . . . you made the finals in The Writer’s Desk Contest! If you want to invite your friends, fans, and followers to come vote for you, here’s the link:

I wonder how they picked up clues regarding the colouring? Presumably that is far more than just guesswork. It really fits the theme!
I was wondering that too, Col, but there are no feather specimens, so I’m not sure whether it was anything other than very creative guesswork.

Oh boy, this is fabulous.
Haven’t they done an amazing job, Monica? Its expression has a bit of the burlesque about it – quite strange.
Oh, how very interesting! Definitely unique!
Thanks, Fergiemoto
that sure fits the bill
Thanks, Jo
I’m glad they added some colour
Yes – I thought their choices were inspired.
it is remarkable.
There’s something a bit Gollum-like about it. I think it’s the stance and expression.
